Outsourcing or insourcing systems are becoming attractive options for terminal operators to optimize the operational efficiency of their business.
For Big Port, the challenge of maintaining high quality services on 24 hours basis, 365 days; achieving, thus, a time-cost optimization, have been the post-pandemic goal. Offering a full range of services from qualified staff supply for efficient port operations to an overall management structural package where we assume full responsibility for the quality, correctness and success of the operation and take under control the maintenance of the client's facilities.
Staff Supply for Port Operations
Big Port can provide port operators to represent the client during loading or unloading barges operations, port operators can be assigned to platforms and terminals exclusively in a required facility on a half part or full time basis.
Some responsibilities of our operators:
- Previous meeting with the crew including the validation of the HSE regulations.
- Fixing and mooring of the ship
- Complete documentation management according to local regulatory framework
- Product verification on land, during transfer process
- Crew connection with the local staff
Port Terminals Management Service

Logistics and Transport
Introduced into the port business through terminal management, Big Port, observing the high demands and lack of response in some markets, has decided during the pandemic to open a new river and land logistics department.
Since 2022, Big Port has truck fleets in Europe, South America, Middle East and Africa.
Moreover, Big Port has river barges for the transportation of containers, as well as agreements with a wide range of maritime logistics companies that supply a safe and optimized shipping of the interoceanic cargo.

Port Infrastructure Supply
The excellence and professionalism of Big Port allows us to provide a high-quality service that covers all the most challenging needs and requirements of our clients. The analytics and processing department, seeking their optimization, has permitted a great breakthrough for an in-depth knowledge of machinery, facilities and tools in those ports where the company develops its activity.
The company offers short and long-term rental services of all kinds of machinery such as cranes, container ships, forklifts, winches and transport trains, among other machinery.
For new and current tenders, our infrastructure department tenders and subcontracts civil construction companies, taking into consideration their experience and complete port security regulations.

Barges Construction and Containers
Big Port set up in South America, where a large market for container transit through rivers was contemplated, observing a big market of barges that connect countries and ports through rivers, that’s where the idea was born of company’s own manufacture of barges, which gave the possibility of containers manufacturing for internal use and resail for the use of our clients.
In 2024 Big Port settled in Africa with a barge and container manufacturing unit, expecting to have its first production released at the beginning of 2025.
